I received this spoon as a gift a few months ago. It's plastic, but feels very sturdy. The color is nice and bright. The magnets work well- I have attached it to my refrigerator as well as a variety of metal surfaces throughout the apartment, including a lamp. One nice feature is the half-way mark on each cup, so you can also easily measure half-tablespoons or half-teaspoons as needed. It washes up very nicely by hand. I don't have a dishwasher, but it certainly seems like it would be fine in one.The spoon's one con is the little arc in the middle. The loop helps you remove it from flat surfaces, but is slightly cumbersome when you are actually measuring and pouring. I didn't find it all that annoying, but I noticed it. This is a very lightweight measuring spoon, but even just brushing against it causes it to fall off the fridge. Then I have to clean it before I can use it. It is thus no longer more convenient than my measuring spoons in the drawer. Great idea that I wanted to love, but honestly don't know how this could have made it out of product testing. |
